“Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this”- Wizkid rebuked Reekado Banks

Popular Nigerian musician, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has rebuked his colleague, Reekado Banks for announcing the release of an old song they both recorded together.

Wizkid expressed his disapproval as he feels this isn’t the right time to release any song due to the ongoing protests bad issues in the country as he had also earlier announced the postponement of his highly anticipated album, Made in Lagos.

Reekado Banks had earlier shared a post on his social media account with the caption:

“Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “OMO OLOMO” midnight dropping. Still on the matter!!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality

Unfortunately, Wizkid rebuked Reekado Banks and told him to delete the post.

“Delete this dude! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this. Old Song! #endsars fool!”, he wrote.

Anthony Joshua says he is praying for Nigeria’s peace.

Anthony Joshua has stated that he is currently sad about the turn of events in Nigeria as protests reach a whole new height on Tuesday night, October 20.

In a short clip, the British-Nigerian stated that he prays for the nation’s peace and positivity every night, adding that he also knows that it is getting to a stage where things are heating up. Joshua who currently holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles was first seen in Nigeria in 2019 when he visited his ancestral home Sagamu, Ogun state. With his middle name as ‘Oluwafemi’, Joshua melted the hearts of many Nigerians when he was seen trying hard to recite the Nigerian national anthem. He also recently celebrated Nigeria’s 60th independence after he was seen preparing a local meal while King Sunny Ade’s music revved the background. Joshua has severally professed his love for Nigeria, he earlier stated that he was not aware of SARS activities and that he is praying for the country.

He said, in a video posted on Instagram:

“Even though I’m not there with you in the physical, we’ve been trying to make efforts to support your protest in the ground.

“I know it’s getting to a stage where things are heating up and tensions are high. In my prayers at night, I’m praying for peace and positivity. We are organizing many care packaged for the people on the ground.”
