Bbnaija: Erica gets disqualified from the show.

Published

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemates were addressed by Big Brother following some of the actions that went down in the house after the Saturday night party.

Big Brother played a video showing Erica’s outburst for all housemates to see while he called out Neo for also provoking Vee. Neo’s actions resulted in him getting a strong and final warning from Big Brother. However, for Erica, her journey in the BBNaija house came to an abrupt end as she was disqualified from the reality show. Erica’s disqualification became inevitable as she already had two strikes from Big Brother and a final warning. Following the sad yet expected announcement, fellow housemates were left shaken as they bid farewell to Erica.

Big Brother instructed her to leave the BBNaija premises with immediate effect. Shortly after the weekly Saturday night party, Erica had approached Laycon and launched a verbal attack on him. Erica refused to back down even when fellow housemates attempted to dampen the situation and prevent her from making rash decisions. However, the housemate who seemed to be under the influence of alcohol refused to listen to her fellow contestants. During the moment of anger, Erica broke three different rules of the BBNaija competition. The housemate threatened to kill Laycon when they leave the house, destroyed Big Brother’s property and also used a word which had been banned for housemates during their time in the house. Hours before the disqualification, Legit.ng conducted an online poll on social media to find out the suitable punishment that housemates want for Erica during their exchange. 17.6% of the respondents were of the opinion that Erica should be given a strong warning while another 12.3% suggested that the housemate should be pardoned by Big Brother.

However, 66.1% of respondents voted for Erica to be disqualified from the reality show.

Bruno Fernandes’s penalty hands United a first home win in a match of two penalties

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer concedes his side were ‘lucky’ that West Brom had a penalty decision overturned in their 1-0 win at Old Trafford.

After a goalless first 45 minutes, Slaven Bilic’s side were awarded a spot-kick early in the second half after referee David Coote ruled that Bruno Fernandes had fouled Conor Gallagher in the box.

VAR however intervened with the decision eventually changed after Coote reviewed the incident on the sideline. Replays suggested Fernandes did make some contact with the ball before the man.

The Red Devils made the most of the call and were themselves awarded a penalty 10 minutes later which Fernandes tucked away at the second time of asking after his first attempt was saved only for goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to be caught coming of his line.

Solskjaer, referencing Aston Villa’s similarly overturned last-minute spot-kick in their 2-1 home defeat to Brighton earlier on Saturday, told BT Sport he thought both penalties should have been awarded.

He said: “I looked at the penalty this afternoon at Villa-Brighton, and there’s contact on the ball and the man. In my head, it might be a penalty, and there as well.

With this victory, United see themselves in the top half of the table for the first time this seasin with 13 points from 9 games at 8th position.

While for West Brom, they remain in the bottom three with only 3 points.

United will host Istanbul Basaksehir midweek, while also to play away to Southampton on Sunday.
