‘Nobody hates you, you’re just too proud sir’ – Nigerians blast Burna Boy for saying people hate him

Popular Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy has revealed why many people hate him.

According to the 28-year-old, people hate on him because he tells people what they need to hear and not what they want to hear.

Taking to his Snapchat page, the Anybody’ crooner wrote;

“They Love me but The hate me, because I tell them what they NEED to hear and not what they WANT to hear.”

Some his fans took to the comment section of his post to blast him over his statement some saying nobody hate him, that he is just too proud. See reactions below;

“Nobody hates you, you’re just proud sir.”

“We don’t hate you, you just talk too much of unnecessary things”

“And you hate them, because they tell you what you don’t want to hear”

“Pride and Burma boy are 5 and 6”

Anthony Joshua says he is praying for Nigeria’s peace.

Anthony Joshua has stated that he is currently sad about the turn of events in Nigeria as protests reach a whole new height on Tuesday night, October 20.

In a short clip, the British-Nigerian stated that he prays for the nation’s peace and positivity every night, adding that he also knows that it is getting to a stage where things are heating up. Joshua who currently holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles was first seen in Nigeria in 2019 when he visited his ancestral home Sagamu, Ogun state. With his middle name as ‘Oluwafemi’, Joshua melted the hearts of many Nigerians when he was seen trying hard to recite the Nigerian national anthem. He also recently celebrated Nigeria’s 60th independence after he was seen preparing a local meal while King Sunny Ade’s music revved the background. Joshua has severally professed his love for Nigeria, he earlier stated that he was not aware of SARS activities and that he is praying for the country.

He said, in a video posted on Instagram:

“Even though I’m not there with you in the physical, we’ve been trying to make efforts to support your protest in the ground.

“I know it’s getting to a stage where things are heating up and tensions are high. In my prayers at night, I’m praying for peace and positivity. We are organizing many care packaged for the people on the ground.”
