Let’s discuss!!! Does Age Really Matters In A Relationship??

Published

on

When it comes to dating, there are a few unspoken rules about what is—and isn’t—an acceptable age-gap between partners.

Dating someone who’s your age, or a few years older or younger than you, is considered normal.

Dating someone who is at least a decade younger than you is considered robbing the cradle.

And when you’re dating someone who’s quite older than you. Well, your intentions might not seem completely innocent.

So despite all the unspoken rules, does age matter in a relationship?

A Nigerian lawyer, Olukayode Olugbemi, has warned fellow countrymen in the UK to stop breaking the hearts of white ladies that fall in love with them.

He said he is tired of being a shoulder his white female friends cry on, telling Nigerians to stop spoiling the country’s already dented reputation. In calling out his fellow countrymen, Olukayode described them as “boys”. The lawyer’s tweet has gathered various reactions from people. The Nigerian man begged his fellow countrymen to stop the bad treatment.  Many Nigerians in the comment section said white ladies are not the only victims of such maltreatment. Despite his ‘crazy’ hairstyle, this young man got job from top US bank, Nigerians react, say such can’t happen in their country (photos)

Below are some of the reactions:

@afilmhead said:

“Nigerian boys don spook ground gan. I remember the first babe I met in London left me because I am fresh from naija in February.”

@tamaraedolor said:

“What’s happening? I thought it was on this twitter that people agreed it’s Nigerian women’s fault that we’re maltreated by Nigerian men cos apparently they treat foreign women better.”

@MRukkiie said:

“They should also stop marrying them to get green pass. That’s wickedness! No one deserves to be used like that.”

@cissyeko said:

“Not only in the UK. People just need to stop deceiving others and stop using them for their selfish gains only to dump them. I consider this a grave sin. You can’t eat your cake and have it guys. When you treat these women this way karma has a way of catching up with you. STOP.”
