The South African police is currently investigating an alleged man of God, Prophet Rufus Phala who reportedly fed his members with a house hold bleach known as Dettol.
Fifty-nine of them have been confirmed dead while four others are in critical condition after drinking the disinfectant which they said was a sign of faith in the healing miracle.
Rufus urged the congregation to drink the antiseptic as they would be healed from their infirmities.
“I know Dettol is harmful, but God instructed me to use it. I was the first one to drink it,” he claimed, adding that he had been getting WhatsApp messages from people who said they had been healed.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the easing of the curfew imposed on Lagos state over repeated attacks on facilities by suspected thugs wreaking havoc under the guise of EndSARS protest.

The governor made the announcement on Friday evening, October 23, during a press conference in the state. Legit.ng recalls that Sanwo-Olu imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state as suspected hoodlums continued to unleash mayhem under the guise of EndSARS protest. The decision was announced on Tuesday, October 20, in a series of tweets by the Lagos state governor following repeated attacks by thugs which led to the burning and destruction of Apapa-Igamu police station. Announcing the curfew, Governor Sanwo-Olu, who noted that the protest was already hijacked, declared that the government would not watch and allow anarchy in Lagos. But while speaking on Arise TV on Thursday, October 22, the governor had hinted that the curfew might be relaxed soon. In a subsequent development on Friday, the governor announced the relaxation of the curfew, saying Lagos state “needs to heal.”

Sanwo-Olu said the decision was made after close consultation with “various levels of security” stakeholders in the state despite “pocket of insecurity.” “We still have a pocket of insecurity we need to deal with, just pocket to restore normalcy. We have decided that we are going to ease the curfew. ” For emphasis, people will be allowed to go out from 8am in the morning to 6pm in the evening. We have also commenced the clean up of the city. I appeal to our motorists to be careful. Drive with a lot of caution because there are still barricade. We will look at the curfew in Saturday and Sunday.. . Lagos needs to heal. And the healing has started.” Meanwhile, with Lekki shooting still gaining momentum amid floodgates of reactions globally, Governor Sanwo-Olu has lifted the lids on the alleged removal of the CCTV camera prior to the toll gate incident.

Speaking on Arise TV on Thursday, October 22, the Lagos state governor stated that “nobody ordered” the removal of the camera and turning off the light contrary to the circulation on the social media.
